FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions Hazen homeowners and businesses ask us most about heating, cooling and plumbing.
How long has Legend-Air served Hazen, and what does the team handle locally?
Legend-Air was founded in Hazen in 2013 by Dan and Samuel Meyer, starting with a single service vehicle, and Hazen remains the company's home base. Today the team handles heating, cooling, plumbing, gas line, boiler, water heater, drain, renovation and new-construction work for both homes and businesses.
How do I decide between repairing and replacing a furnace or air conditioner?
The decision usually turns on four factors: the age of the equipment, how often it has needed repair, its efficiency relative to current models, and long-term operating cost. Replacement is not recommended on age alone. Legend-Air evaluates the existing system first, then presents repair and replacement options so the decision rests on the equipment's actual condition.
Why does equipment sizing matter when replacing a heating or cooling system?
An oversized system cycles on and off too often, which wears components and can leave temperature and humidity uneven. An undersized one struggles on the coldest days. Sizing should reflect the home's real heating and cooling load, not just the capacity of the unit being removed. Legend-Air's replacement process includes system sizing and a comparison of options before installation.
When is a drain camera inspection recommended instead of standard drain cleaning?
When a clog returns after cleaning, several fixtures slow at once, or odors persist, the cause is often structural, such as root intrusion or a damaged line, rather than a simple blockage. A camera inspection identifies the cause and shows whether hydro jetting is appropriate. Legend-Air offers drain cleaning, camera inspections and hydro jetting.
