Legend-Air LLC is a family-owned HVAC and plumbing company based in Hazen, North Dakota. From everyday service and system replacements to remodels and new construction, our team serves homes and businesses throughout Central North Dakota with skilled workmanship and a commitment to doing things right.
- OUR STORY
Built on Hard Work, Craftsmanship, and a Calling to Serve
Legend-Air was founded in 2013 by father and son Dan and Samuel Meyer.
Dan, a Master HVAC technician with decades of experience, raised Samuel in the trades and taught him the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and taking care of people. After working together in the HVAC industry for years, they felt called to branch out on their own and build something that reflected the standards and values they believed in.
With one service vehicle and a willingness to go wherever the work took them, Dan and Samuel, together with their families, poured themselves into getting Legend-Air off the ground.
In time, they found a home in the Hazen community and established a shop and property just outside town. From those Hazen roots, the company steadily grew by adding people who shared the same commitment to doing the job right and doing it well.
In 2024, Legend-Air entered its next chapter by purchasing a plumbing company and opening an additional shop and office in New Salem. That expansion allowed the team to provide more complete HVAC and plumbing services for residential and commercial customers, including service work, replacements, remodels, and new construction.

- Owner/President - Master Technician
Dan Meyer
The “Dad” in the father-son duo, Dan is a highly skilled technician with decades of hands-on experience. There’s virtually no problem he can’t solve, and he’s built a reputation for going above and beyond for every customer. His knowledge and expertise have been foundational to Legend-Air from the very beginning.
Dan is passionate about encouraging young people to pursue careers in the trades. Outside of work, he proudly enjoys being “Grandpa” to twelve grandchildren (and counting), admiring classic automobiles, and riding his motorcycle whenever he can.

Samuel Meyer
With a father like Dan, it’s no surprise Samuel grew up learning the ins and outs of HVAC from the ground up. At just 20 years old, he helped start Legend-Air, bringing with him a mature vision, strong business instincts, and a relentless drive to improve. His leadership and forward-thinking mindset have played a major role in shaping the company into what it is today. He is dedicated to serving and helping those around him.
Samuel is married and a proud father of five boys. He shares a love of motorcycles with his dad, and in the summer months, you’ll often find three generations riding together.

Angela Meyer
Wife to Dan and a steady presence from the very beginning, Angela helped Dan and Samuel get Legend-Air off the ground — doing whatever was needed to support the growing business. A nurse by trade, she eventually set aside her stethoscope to step fully into the company and help build it into what it is today.
Often the friendly face in the community and the warm voice on the phone, Angela works tirelessly behind the scenes. Still, her favorite title is “Grandma.” She loves taking her grandchildren on adventures, tending to her chickens, and hiking with her dog, Rosie.

Grace Loeb
The youngest of the Meyer kids, Grace was the original artist for the "Legend-Air LLC" logo in 2013. By 12, Grace spent her summers working alongside her dad and brothers. After high school, Grace earned her Bachelor's in Psychology with a Minor in Christian Studies and worked with survivors of human trafficking at a non-profit in Bismarck. In fall of 2024, Grace returned to Legend-Air and has since taken up roles in billing, business planning, and company culture. Grace is married with one child and is grateful for the opportunity to raise her son surrounded by family.

Toby Blend
Toby is an experienced Master Plumber known for his straightforward approach and efficient, high-quality workmanship. He gets right to work and takes pride in delivering dependable plumbing solutions that are built to last.
Toby is a devoted husband and father of three. If he’s not helping customers, you can bet he’s tackling something off the never-ending “honey-do” list at home — proving that whether at work or with family, he’s always ready to get the job done.

Steve Werchau
Steve is a Master Plumber who’s known by just about everyone in the community. With years of experience and a strong reputation for dependable work, he takes pride in serving the people and families he’s built relationships with over time.
Outside of work, Steve is an avid outdoorsman and passionate snowmobiler. He’s a dedicated son who’s always planning the next adventure with his dad and family — whether that’s on the trails or making memories close to home.
- Lead Install Technician - Journeyman
Ezekiel "EZ" Weichmann
Ezekiel joined Legend-Air as a teenager and has grown with the company, making him the longest-tenured team member. Known for his sharp attention to detail and commitment to excellence, he takes pride in doing every job the right way — never cutting corners but always making it look “EZ.”
When he’s not working, he’s always busy — you can find him raising barns, tackling hands-on projects, or touring with friends in their bluegrass band. A true jack of all trades, Ezekiel brings dedication and craftsmanship to everything he does.

Preston Loeb
Before joining Legend-Air, Preston built a successful career in the food service industry. Ready for a new challenge and long-term career path, he stepped into the HVAC trade eager to learn and grow. Since then, he’s become a dependable team player who fills in wherever he’s needed most, whether that’s helping in the shop, learning installations, or serving as an extra set of hands on maintenance calls.
Preston and his wife, Grace, are proud parents to their son, Gideon, the highlight of their day and the motivation behind everything they do.
- Journeyman Plumber
Alex Kober
Originally from Montana, Alex earned his rank of Journeyman before selling his home and moving to Hazen to be closer to his fiancé. A true gentle giant, he’s known for his positive attitude and trademark response: “Perfect, I can do that.”
Alex works closely with Toby as he continues sharpening his skills in the plumbing trade. He and his fiancé have one son and are laying down roots in the community, enjoying the process of creating a home and future together.
